These terms govern your use of the GovFin (Pty) Ltd website and services, unless a signed quotation or service agreement contains more specific terms. This is a draft pending qualified South African legal review.

Acceptance
By using this website, creating an account or purchasing a service, you agree to these terms and to the related policies referenced in the legal centre.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for keeping your credentials secure. Organisation accounts may verify multiple profiles under administrator control; individual accounts are for verifying your own single profile.
Lawful purpose and consent
Verification requests may only be created for a lawful, disclosed purpose and with the consent or other lawful basis required for the information involved. You are responsible for holding the underlying consent evidence your process requires.
Services and outcomes
GovFin verifies information through applicable primary or authorised sources and reviews material findings before release. Turnaround times depend on the check and the source. A result reflects the information available at the time and is not a guarantee of a person's suitability.
Payment
Prices are shown before payment in South African Rand. See the payment terms and refund & cancellation policy.
Acceptable use
You may not use GovFin to harass, discriminate unlawfully, misuse another person's information, or request checks without a lawful basis. GovFin may suspend access where misuse is suspected.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, GovFin is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under South African consumer-protection law.
Governing law & domicile
GovFin (Pty) Ltd is domiciled in the Republic of South Africa, and these terms are governed by South African law, subject to any mandatory rights and the provisions of an applicable signed agreement.
